When to prune milkweed plants?

Hello,
I purchased 75 tropical milkweed seeds from glorious butterfly this winter and have had wonderful success with starting the seeds. When the plants had two sets of leaves I snipped the top to encourage bushy growth. Now my plants are all 6-8 inches tall and have about 6 sets of leaves. My question is, should I snip the tops again to encourage side shoots? I have never grown milkweed from seed before and am enjoying it so much. I would appreciate your advice on pruning.
Thanks!
