Monarch on Tropical Milkweed

by Ray Brandes
(Marianna, FL)

Tanking up at the way station

This monarch was photographed Nov. 4, 2009 (yesterday). All the butterfly weeds have gone to seed, but the tropical milkweeds are still setting blossoms.

Karen, these tropicals are from seeds I got from you.

Thanks for the great photo!

Ray,
Wow, amazing that the tropical milkweed is still blooming....it has been very cold up here in Minnesota. You get to enjoy the butterflies so much longer than us....I'm jealous :)

Great to see the seeds that I sent you turned into such beautiful, "monarch-attracting" plants.
