Butterfly Question

Hi I was wanting to know I just had a monarch butterfly hatch and I was wanting to find out when I should let it go, as of right now it is pouring rain.

Karen says:
If you can find a sheltered place outside (under roof or eaves) where you could "perch" the butterfly, that would be one possibility. Or, if it is suppose to clear fairly soon you could let it go outside after the rain stops. Monarchs can go a while without nectar (maybe 10-12 hours) without food. Try to keep it in a "safe" area inside.
