Deformed Wing on Swallowtail Butterfly

I have this butterfly that hatched from the chrysalis and his wing is deformed. Should I still release him this way or should I keep him and feed it sugar water and flowers? He can't fly only flap his wings.

Karen says:
If the butterfly can't fly, it probably won't live long at all outside. I'm not sure how long it will live inside with you feeding it, but I have had other readers who have done this before. Check out this posting about caring for butterflies that can't fly

Deformed butterfly what to do
by: benji

Hi I have a deformed butterfly and the thing I did was keep it. He is still alive. You can feed it sugar water or any kind of juicy fruit. So I would keep it It is not the best to let it outside because if it can't fly the birds will get it.
